Music is my boat and we sail along singing songs about this wonderful planet.    

  I've lived much of my life on the 
Pamlico River
---- a river named after me-----
   just a few miles west of Cape Hatteras 
on the coast of North Carolina. 

At age 12 the guitar became my favorite instrument and I began performing professionally in 1988.

Pamlico Joe came to life in 1992  at an Earth Day concert for a group of 2nd graders. The chance to mix my love of music with my love for the environment was a natural shift. Nowadays I see over 50,000 students each year.

 Along with my family I've graced the stages of countless schools and special events
 including 4 performances 
at The White House for two presidents.  
   I have enjoyed membership to the NC & SC  Arts Council Touring Rosters and had the chance to perform with a lot of my musical heroes.
