River School

This concert explores common sense ways to keep the land, air and water reusable from a coastal perspective.

Coastal life for people and critters is a delicate balance. River School focuses on coastal habitats and how people impact the coast regardless of where they live.

When it rains away from the coast that water eventually ends up in the ocean. Pollution gathered along the way ends up in coastal habitats.  Animals can't do anything about the environment but people can and River School is a great way to learn how to do our part on a local level.
"Come on down and visit the coast but remember, the coast offers more than just gift shops and miniature golf", says Pamlico Joe. "The animals were here long before the people were."

Who's Gonna Make A Difference?

Recharge your students' love for the environment with this high energy character based concert.   Teamwork, cooperation, and tolerance are emphasized as ways to make this planet a better place.

Cleanwater Flow says , "The people of the world differ on many issues but every living thing needs clean air and clean water to survive.  We must learn to make the right decisions for a better world tomorrow".
Not only does this apply to our relationship with our planet but most importantly with each other.

"We're all on the same team" adds Pamlico Joe

Read and Write for the Environment

Creativity is essential to our survival.  Reading and writing encourage inventive thoughts.

Pamlico Joe and Cleanwater Flow combine interactive songs about reading and writing with our environment. “Reading opens our minds and inspires us to write, whether it be a short story, a poem or a song.

A good reader makes a good writer.

        Middle School assemblies

Middle school concerts are more intimate and focus on writing and perseverance.

Middle school concerts focus on coastal heritage and the process of songwriting.  Writing becomes a skill students will use the rest of their lives and a good start is essential.   Much emphasis is given to journal keeping. The writing process is showcased with songs “made up” simply by looking in our own community.  According to Pamlico Joe, "Any good writer will tell you to ’write about what you know’ and we encourage students to get started with what’s near by and in their lives as subject matter."

Pamlico Joe also discusses a career in the performing arts.  Audience interaction is encouraged.  Lots of questions please :)

A sound system is provided for all concerts.
